Ryan began his training career after he received a B.S. in Exercise and Sport Science from one of the country's top exercise science schools, the University of Wisconsin La Crosse (2004). To complete his degree Ryan interned with the Strength and Conditioning department of Stanford University in the fall of 2004. Ryan then became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (2005) and began his career in personal training. He became a Muscle Activation Techniques™ Certified Specialist in 2011. In 2016 Ryan became the only Master Level Practitioner of Muscle Activation Techniques™ in the Kansas City area. In his career, Ryan has built custom resistance training programs that have helped a diverse population of clients ranging from a 68 year old grandmother a few months post knee replacement to Division I football players/prospects. He has helped several people lose between 20 and 100 lbs while exercising around a variety of unique physical limitations. Using Muscle Activation Techniques™, Ryan has helped people move and feel significantly better with history's ranging from the consequences of mild overtraining to severe orthopedic injuries that are 10 years post medical and therepeutic intervention. Ryan has successfully used MAT™ to help a wide population of individuals ranging from grandmothers to professional athletes. Ryan’s mission with each of his clients is to help restore proper muscle function and then take them through a safe and effective exercise program that is specific to each individual’s needs and goals.
